Isc3re is a multidirectional conference on Climate Change and Renewable Energy. The experts in their fields will be sharing their acknowledgements to the participants during the conference. As METU Physics Society, we believe that we can change the world, our goal here to hold a conference upon emphasizing the significance and circumstances of climate change, and about possible solutions to current problems is hereby proposed with procedural details.

Conference Topics

This conference aims to address the current issues about climate change, renewable and sustainable energy.

Solar Energy

Every second, our sun produces enough energy to sustain Earth's needs for 500.000 years. Photovoltaic systems, solar power plants, and thin-film solar cells… join us to learn more about this sustainable form of energy.

Wind Energy

Air Transport

It possible that to reach Ankara via plane after landing Esenboğa Airport you can reach to the city centre by using airport shuttles.

Ground Transport

You can reach the Ankara via Ground Transportation easily. You can prefer busses or trains to reach Ankara. After arriving at Ankara Bus Station (AŞTİ) or Train Station, you can reach the campus by using public transportation (e.g. metro lines or city buses etc.) For detailed information, you can check the event brochure or if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Some frequently asked questions for you.

The participants are expected to be affiliated with Natural Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Climate Science, Sociology, Ecology, Zoology, Botany etc. or relevant engineering departments and/or research facilities on the subject manner of corresponding institutions. The participant may be of any degree of their studies.
Unfortunately no, METU Physics Society does not receive any profit from the participant fee, and participation fee only covers the necessary things like accommodation, lunches, conference dinner, trips, coffee breaks etc.
A participant can give a presentation related to his original work on the topics of climate change and/or renewable energy. Any participant willing to give a Student lecture or poster presentations has to send an abstract of his work during the registration period. Their research is going to be examined by an elected committee of professors affiliated with METU Physics Department against any academic misconduct. If you would like to give a poster presentation or student lecture, please kindly let us know in the registration form.
You cannot attend only a single day of the event due to regulations related METU campus entrance. You must be entered and register on the first day of the event(Arrival Day). Other than arrival day you cannot enter the METU campus.
All participants must be staying in the METU dormitories to maintain order during the event.
